Apiary improvements and quick check of both hives - YouTube

There were no Hive beetles or ants. Both look extremely healthy although the one farthest from the camera is extremely strong neither one of them are ready for another box yet. We have been feeding them and keeping water available.

Top Bar Nucleus Hive - 3rd Split for Parent Colony - YouTube

Bees not being fed sugar syrup, no hive beetles this spring! No symptoms of other illnesses. Lots of biodiversity in foraging area, too, from Linden, Tulip Poplar, to strawberries, raspberries. Full early spring to summer rolling succession of good tree to ground forage, no pesticides.

Foreign particles in Flow Frames - Flow Hive - Flow Forum

In a perfect beekeeping world there would be no brood in Flow Frames, no beetles in cells, no wax moth larvae crawling around supers or in frames, no ants, no hive beetles, no leaking Flow Frames (honey in trough before unlocking it with the key), Flow Frames would perfectly align, the bees would...

Backyard Bee Blog: Early Hive Inspection

This weekend, I opened my backyard hives and did an inspection of the overall status of them. Not too bad, no hive beetles noted, no obvious diseases noted. The bees are going in and out with pollen. Overall, healthy assessment. Looking forward to honey this year, I am now out of honey from last year.

Watering Bees

No mites, no Africanized bees, no hive beetles, No Colony Collapse Disorder, not as many silly laws about how/where you can keep bees, and so on. Beekeeping is still a wonderful hobby, but no question it was easier back then. But enough of my Old Fogey ranting. On to your question...

Helping out with bee hive maintenance (and possibly gaining a second...)

The hive was very strong, with no hive beetles to be seen. It all went smoothly, until we looked into the top box we were harvesting. Bees will grow comb however they like, when it comes down to it (photo showing the underside of the box).

Bee-Centered Beekeeping: Part III Keeping Backyard Bees

We have no inspectors in our county, and none likely to appear soon, so I am free to experiment with all sorts of alternative hive styles where removable comb is not an issue, such as woven hives/skeps and log hives. I live in an area with no Africanized bees to speak of, no hive beetles, and no AFB.

Bill's Bee Blog, all about being a beekeeper and keeping honeybees.

The beetles were on the top of the hive inner cover and upon further inspection I noticed a few on the comb as well. The comb had been drawn out by these bees. During the course of the season I had observed my bees harassing any intruders and noticed fewer and then no hive beetles within the hive.

Alberta Bee News

The latest news on Hive Beetles as of June 20, to the chagrin of gossipmongers near and far, no Hive Beetles were found in New Brunswick, and hives are Remember Tracheal Mites and the eradication and quarantines and disruption of business that occurred around that pest. Small Hive Beetles fit in...
