Outstanding museum, a lot of thing to see and to learn. You must go, its wonderful.
🏴 Flag as inappropriateCame here with my students for a field trip. The guide was great and interacted with the students well. She kept them engaged and showed them different fossils from different periods. Explained them and gave the students a chance to feel. A scavenger hunt was organized which gave the students something more tangible to do. More time for the hunt would have been better but we were short on time too.
🏴 Flag as inappropriateTiny little museum down the hall from the mineralogy museum, hidden away in the basement but very nice and quiet. Not worth making a long drive, by any means, but nice all the same.
🏴 Flag as inappropriateFree! A little hard to find but go into the basement and look for signs. The museum is more learning and less commercial focused. You can touch many of the items. The geology mineralogy museum is a few doors down and worth your time. You can see both in an hour.

https://www.ualberta.ca/newtrail/featurestories/paleontologymuseumThe Palaeontology Museum in the University of Alberta ranks as the number one attraction for school parties. It is not surprising, given the wide range of incredible dinosaur fossils and mega bones on display.
