“This store is great most of the time for quality cat food and quality products.The owner is very good to her clients who shop there regularly. But it is really too bad as when we did have to call their head office we dealt with an Elaine Leach who was really not supportive of this franchise. She made promises re: free cat food because of difficulty in this store. Never followed through. Her remarks about this franchise were disparaging and we just felt that if this person supposedly in management could not support this company's franchises we could not support this store. We did go elsewhere to another pet store Mayfield and we are delighted. Workers always go the extra mile to help their customers. Free samples are given freely and they did replace free cat food that Pet Planet would not. It is so much nicer to see happy workers who really care about customers.They always call their head office with questions and are treated with respect. After all I quote "Pets are a big part of families who care"We try to show same care" This speaks volumes! happy workers who seem to be supported at all levels. Speaks volumes!”

If you are interested in reducing and reusing, they have kitty litter containers that you can come back and refill. I've never seen that before and I love the idea.”

“Solid place, nice people. Ignore the entilted nay-sayers, (people in developed countries literally will complain about ANYTHING). Everyone was nice, and willing to help my rescue dog become accustomed by giving her treats, which is great for my dog from strangers. They obviously love animals and that's what counts for 90% of their job, everything else can be taught. Product-wise I found what I was looking for and more, multiple times, and obviously being a small location, they didn't have a ton if amphibians and reptiles to gock at, but thats okay :) supply and demand after all. Great place. I couldn't run it better as a non-retail, but restaurant/service industry expert.”

“We are so grateful for the staff and facility at Sherwood Barks and highly recommend them to other dog owners. Our poodle pup needed a lot of work around socializing so we've added the daycare experience a couple of times a week to her puppy classes. What a difference it has made! Sherwood Barks staff are experienced, honest/direct, and really structure things for maximum safety as well as interaction. This can be a tough line to walk and we've had a negative experience elsewhere where the organization didn't support safety of the smaller dogs. What helps our experience be so wonderful? Leave ego at the door and soak as much feedback up as you can. Trust the experience of the trainers and daycare staff. Their force-free methods are excellent and you will see results if you practice their strategies. The homework videos are extra helpful. Staff here truly love dogs and have so much insight into how to understand their doggy minds and hearts. We are happy to see our friends joining the Sherwood Barks community, too - especially the small dog Sundays. If you have a small dog, this is one of the best ways to spend your Sunday.
