Chartwell Birchwood Retirement Residence

I never thought we'd be in a situation where we can not go see mom, we live in Alberta and so have been supporting her from a distance. The one thing that has made this whole pandemic more bearable is that we know that mom is as safe as she can be at Birchwood. The staff at Birchwood have treated mom and other residents the way I imagine they would want their own loved ones treated and it has allowed us to have a sense of security that mom is ok. I hope the staff knows how very much they are appreciated and however hard it has been to not be able to see and be with our mom, Birchwood staff is outstanding and deserve praise and I think if Chartwell is reading this, they should get a raise for going above and beyond every day. It has made the unbearable a bit more bearable and that is all thanks to the staff at Birchwood! Sending hugs. Mike and Caroline

I am so thankful for this place. Thanks to their family-like environment and caring attitude, we have peace of mind that our grandpa is in a great residence.

I am a Reflexology Therapist from Total Relaxation Reflexology that has been coming to Birchwood Retirement home and doing treatments on residence there. Birchwood has always been very gracious, pleasant and accommodating when I am in the building and attending to my clients in their private residence. The residents always tell me they are very happy, content and treated very well. I have also recommended Birchwood to other senior clients of mine as a wonderful place for seniors to live and be cared for.

In my interaction with the staff , I found them friendly, helpful, respectful and caring. In particular Marci and Heather both so kind, very knowledgeable and informative on the day to day operation of the organization. All options available for clients were clearly explained.

I have been into this facility several times, each time I have found the staff very friendly and helpful. they talk to the residents like they are respected and cared for. the dining room is so clean and always full, it's like they are going out to a fancy restaurant. I always see the residents playing pool or some kind of game. I would for my parents to live here.
