    Amazing people & community!

Morning brunches every Saturday during the winter season. A good place to enjoy eggs, pancakes, oat meal, sausages and good company. They also have events like soulful Sundown at the end of each month, you'll probably see me sticking posters around. Hopefully I'll see you around!

A welcoming, loving, open environment. Good for believers and non-believers of all kinds.

A very welcoming congregation, and stimulating - both to the mind and spirit. What drew me was acceptance of everyone's personal beliefs or philosophies...from former Christians, Buddhists, Jews, Earth-centred pagan traditions, to agnostics, atheists and free-thinkers...in a spirit of community that 'walks the talk' about being a force for good in the world. No dogma or dictates here.

An admittedly biased review by yours truly, the minister at UUCH since Sept. 2012. A Universalist Unitarian Church is like no other denomination. In 175 years in Halifax we have found a way to be a religious community that supports one another in our individual and unique quests for connection to one another, to our natural world, to our own emotions and to our search for meaning in life. As a liberal church we believe that each of us is responsible for finding our own spiritual path. Our services are challenging and intellectually stimulating. We have a Religious Exploration program for children and youth that does not indoctrinate.

If you drop in, please speak to me I would love see if our liberal religious path can serve you. Rev. Norm Horofker
