A terrific atmosphere where you can browse lots of books at your leisure. They even carry puzzles. Owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. Pricing is excellent! A gem in town.

The book shop is extremely tidy and well organized. I really enjoy chatting with the owner-- knowledgeable, incredible memory for all in stock, and a great conversationalist. The book pricing is excellent. I love the "Try Something Different" shelf with books for a dollar that was created to encourage reading outside of one's usual reading habits. It's a fantastic idea and contains a great, truly reflecting the intent. I never seem to have enough time when I go. I think that feeling is a sign of a great destination. There is enough to feel it was worth a visit and enough that I always want to return. In my opinion, this bookshop is what used bookshops are meant to be: friendly, filled to the brim, without feeling cluttered, with both popular and unique titles, and a person at the helm who is welcoming, knows what is on the shelves at any given time. It is also physically accessible with a mobility ramp and wide aisles.

I visited this store with the intent on finding a specific novel by Thomas H. Raddall and was delighted to see that they stocked two copies. I was so happy to get it. In all the other second-hand bookstores I visited during my trip to Nova Scotia, I looked for local fiction yet never saw it, not even in Halifax. Readers' Haven had it...twice! I love to visit down east and to shop for books and Readers' Haven was a pleasure to visit.

A very well organized and lovely place with a wide selection of authors and subject matter. The owner was a pleasure to talk with as well! I found a trio of popular books I've wanted for years, at a very reasonable price, so I'm very happy.

great local bookstore, so much to look at in just about every genre, plenty of space so you can kinda find your own little nook 💐 the lady that works there (I'm pretty sure her name is Wendy?) is absolutely great, she knows just about every book in the store and is really helpful. this is a regular spot for my friends and I, you'd be surprised at how much there is to look at and there's always something new! definitely would recommend for locals and visitors alike
