“We needed a comfortable inexpensive place to stay for two nights. Our room was perfect for us! Its essentially brand new with all the amenities needed including some extras in the bathroom. The hotel itself is one of the original old buildings on the main street in Rockwood, it is being renovated into multiple units with only a few open at the moment. Worth noting is that areas of the building are under construction but that did not affect our stay at all. Our host was very friendly and attentive. Rockwood is a beautiful little town and there is a great Bar and Grill (Chompin at the bit) as well as a terrific little diner where we had the best breakfast ever (The Whistle Stop) a short walk away.”

“Love the hotel. Love the management. We stayed in the Geddes Suite and loved every detail, from our stunning suite, to the serene patio, to the AMAZING bathroom! We can't wait to stay again. We were able to get a sneak peek at the suite beside ours (the Irvine Suite) and it was gorgeous too! A beautiful spot, super close to everything and the owners provided so many welcoming touches! I can't say enough good things. Highly recommended! You rock Ayrshire House!”

“Expensive modern apartment buildings now owned by REIT group. Nice underground garage (if you can get it). Limited parking, quiet neighborhood. Mixed population of tenants from university to elderly and mature families. Property management is average. Some buildings have heavy smokers. Could be good as a temporary rental solution. I paid 1590 CAD/mth including 50 CAD/mth garage parking fee. Electricity and water is not included and on average it is around 110 CAD/mth via Wyse Metered Solutions provider.”

“I was googling a non traditional hotel for my fiancee and I to spend our wedding night this year and stumbled upon the guest house. From the beginning Janet was more then accommodating. When COVID-19 changed things for the worse in terms of our after wedding meal, again Janet was there to step up and create a night that we'll always remember. The room was very well kept and clean with a lot of character. I would have liked the hot tub to be a bit warmer, but the stand up 2 person shower more than made up for it. Even the small details of in room flowers and small cards at our table and punch for our meal was something that we definitely appreciated. We could not have been more thrilled. Not light on the pocketbook, but 100% worth it. We will be back for sure!”

“The room was surprisingly large. Had a nice TV, large bed, desk, table with chairs, bar area and a nice bathroom with two sinks. The breakfast was pretty okay. It was nice and quiet, staff were all friendly and nice. Only slight complaint was that there were no vending machines with snacks, only had drinks. I would definitely come back here again.”
