“I stop in here almost weekly, and the lattes have been great! The first time I went I also had the coffee cake which was really good & soft as well. Even at the end of their day I was greeted with a cheery bonjour and was able to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of a great coffee break. I have to note that on my visit last week I left without being able to order as it seemed as though the one person working was taking out trash and must’ve not seen me & the other gentleman that were perusing the shop…but I’m sure it was just an oversight as I’ve been told that this area can be pretty slow on Tuesday afternoons. Loved the strawberry shortcake, the cake was moist, cream was very smooth, strawberries were fresh, the combo’s not overly sweet, would def order again! On the other hand, didn’t enjoy the matcha red bean one as much, the cake texture was more coarse, and there’s a savory taste that was a bit odd. Overall, the mini cake’s size is on the small side, with approx. $8 per piece, it’s slightly overpriced. However, the price for drinks were quite reasonable for Boston area, enjoyed my ice americano!”

“I feel very lucky to live near such a cozy coffee shop! Bloc is unique because it used to be a bank back in the day. You can even sit in a few areas that used to be vault rooms. “This team recently catered my daughters wedding, it was a weekend event, so they provided us with brunch, barbeque, breakfast and the wedding dinner. To say they were wonderful is an understatement. Today is my second day of stopping in to 'borrow' the wifi and get a little work done before the local library opens and PJ's is an excellent place for a good cup of coffee from friendly people. I have never been one for Starbucks and my recent visits I've had to come to grips with the cost of a boring brand. PJ's is very affordable and as I noted before the coffee is good. I haven't had any of the food so I'm not able to comment.”
