Real Taiwanese food, excellent tea, a hidden gem in downtown Brantford. I've been here 4 times, and I'm ready to give this 5 stars. It's a RESTAURANT: If you like "Chinese food," you need to try this place, which is a restaurant, not just a tea house. Taiwan is a "foodie" destination in Asia, and super popular with Chinese tourists for this reason. Lucky for us, this place is run by super-friendly Taiwanese people who make authentic Taiwanese dishes, and they instantly remind me of exactly the same dishes in the many times I've traveled to Taiwan. DISHES TO TRY: Try the "minced pork on rice", or even better, the "Taiwanese sausage and minced pork on rice." Taiwanese sausage is super lean (not like typical fatty "sausage"), and it comes with lean minced pork and tasty vegetables on white rice in a bowl. Ask the owners (who are serving and cooking, so they care about their restaurant) what's good, and they'll help you find what you're looking for. SCHEDULE: This place tends to be open only on weekdays and weekday early evenings, so this is a good place for a simple dinner downtown Monday-Thursday. They open until 8pm Mon-Thurs., and close 5:30pm on Fri and Sat, closed Sundays. CASH ONLY: Like many Asian restaurants, this place is cash-only because they have reasonable prices and don't want to give part of their revenue to a bank. Fair enough. Bring $40 and two people can have entrees and teas with money to spare.

Very lovely service, when I came in to see what they had (I couldn't buy anything because I didn't have cash) they told me there was an ATM next door :)

The cashier/server was patient and friendly with me while I chose what to order. The bubble tea is great and it is a tasty drink to get as a treat every once and a while! I would recommend it to any one I know looking for a quick drink.
