“Can be better if one more waiter or waitress during dinner time to service customers. The lone waitress worked extremely hard and was very polite. Fish and chips, rip steak and chicken wings we ordered were of high quality.”

“This place like if a food truck had picnic tables, rock music, a cool, gritty vibe, & servers who earn their tips with fast service & charm. Very limited menu. Focus on great tasting food. Simple. Delicious. Good, cold beer. Highly recommended!”

“Both my husband and I ordered the breakfast special. Eggs were perfect, sausage was delcious! Coffee came quickly and refilled promptly. Server was very pleasant. Great view of the harbour while you eat. I would definitely recommend for breakfast! Cash only though.”

“Stopping for a beaver tail is must when exploring little tub. They have all kinds of amazing toppings to choose from, but I prefer a classic cinnamon and sugar. Treat yourself!”

“Summary: long wait times, decent food, good atmosphere, and a little overpriced. There was a relatively long wait time before being seated. They refused to take a name or number, so we had to wait outside the restaurant on benches for about half an hour. Once seated, we requested if we could order right away (because we were already in a rush) We were told it would take 30-40 min of wait for the food to be served after ordering. (It came about 50 minutes later) One of the better qualities of the restaurant includes options for those with dietary restrictions (vegetarian/vegan, gluten free, dairy free) Seemed to be limited on number of staff. There were lineups of people waiting outside, even when several tables were open. Atmosphere is as nice as the restaurant is right by the water. The food overall was alright. The chicken and pork tacos surprised me with their more authentic tastes, and the whitefish let me down. The food in general seemed a little overpriced unless you ordered three tacos, which came out to about 20 dollars even. The alcohol on the other hand was quite overpriced with beers being about $10 for a bottle. The server was friendly even though she was in a little bit of a rush. Aside from the waiting, the overall experience was good. It’s probably worth coming to once if you’re visiting the harbour.”

“Good place for a meal after having hiked in Bruce Peninsula National Park. We had fish and chips and several fish tacos. Everyone enjoyed their meal with the fish tasty and the fries crisp. Service was good after we got the waiters attention. The place has a covered outdoor deck with a nice view of the harbor. Prices were on line with what others in the area were charging. Good drink selection as well.”

“Got to be one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. The beer was top notch too. I’m going to lie to my family and say I’m spending £600 on a flight to come and see them, when really I’m coming back to Canada and driving 4 hours to get more beer and steak.”

“Wife and loved this place. Great updated room. Off the beaten path a little but allowed for fantastic view of the lake, the ferry, and memorable sunsets. We would stay again. No doubt.”

“Best selection in the harbour and at a really good price. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner and are open even during the off season to serve travelers and locals alike The dining room is large and well organized. There was an accessable entrance and they were more than happy to accommodate my family with a toddler. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming”

“We finally got to stop in at TruFood today after passing by many times. What a great place! The food was amazing, the service was friendly, and the restaurant was clean and bright! What a stark difference to previous venues in that building. The outside may not look like much (yet) but once you step inside that changes. They even have heated floors! You will not be disappointed. And did I mention they have great coffee?? We will be back!”

“Cozy place to eat. Lasagna, Cole slaw & garden salad were prepared well. Meatloaf was not tasty at all. Server was exceptional and attended to our needs like she valued our business.”

“Cute little mom and pops shop. Food was good, menu was a lot more extensive then expected. Reasonably priced. Tip: The specials of the day are usually good.”

“A quick walk from the business area of Lions Head or the waterfront, this English style pub is a friendly, comfortable spot for some cold local beers and great beyond pub food. I'm so glad I stopped in here for lunch on a hot late summer day. Our wait staff greeted us with cold water and a smile. We had a few pints of local beer (very inexpensive and tasty) and some amazing sandwiches. Fresh perch is also on the menu in both appetizers and mains. Beautiful little patio overlooking the street and a healthy apple tree. The atmosphere is so relaxed and friendly we quickly found ourselves making new friends from across Ontario while enjoying our brews and food on the patio.”

“I have stayed at the motel before and had lunch there. Tonight we took a friend for supper. Great food, friendly service and reasonable prices. This will be our choice in the Lion's Head area for favourite place to eat. Now called Bear Tracks right on HWY 6 in Ferndale.”

“Really tasty. People are correct to rave about the subs, they're tasty. The sign saying "RIBS TODAY" drew our attention, and the ribs were worth it too. Great diner coffee. People inside all seemed to know one another, lots of regulars. I liked the sausage, my wife less so. All in all, good reliable eats.”

“Really great little spot if you’re out this way. We were staying nearby in Lions Head and wanted somewhere kid friendly to take my kids and parents for a quick dinner. It’s very small so I’d recommend calling ahead for a reservation just in case - we didn’t have one and they managed to squeeze us in but if I’m ever back I’d call. Food was really tasty home cooking and service was warm and friendly.”
