My son and I ordered 2 piece fish and chips each. Thick cut fries = amazing. Fish = delicious haddock. Coleslaw = one of the best coleslaws I've had! A little bit sweet, creamy and fresh. Price was right, excellent service, saw some other plates of food go by us too and they looked gooooood. Lots of fries, we brought some home.
I had the beef dip sandwich... it was messy and delicious!! Tomato soup was good. My wife ordered beet and walnut salad. She said the candied walnuts were tasty. Over all a good place. We would return. Next time we will make a reservation. It was packed!
Stopped here to grab a bite on our way back home. Grabbed their special which was the crispy buffalo chicken cesar wrap with fries and it was delicious! The wrap was well balanced, didn't fall apart, and not overly salty. I love fries and these fries did not disappoint. They were thick cut and wonderfully crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The staff were awesome! I had my two dogs with me so we couldn't eat in but they kindly recommend I go down to the water just a short walk away and there are picnic areas, it was beautiful! I would definitely visit this restaurant again!
We visit/dine every summer at the Green Door Cafe. It is located in Wiarton and is the only good restaurant there. You must make reservations as it is extremely busy. The food is excellent but our favourite is the white fish dinner. This is their specialty as the fish is fresh, right out of the Georgian Bay.
Great little restaurant. Small no frills. Super friendly staff, great food. Good prices. Make a reservation if you can... They accommodated us with 15 minutes notice at noon. Took a walk around town and then enjoyed a great lunch.
