Big Bites

Just got finished eating here and I'm super impressed. It was clean friendly and very reasonable. Best of all the food was great tasting. While not in the best part of town, you would never know inside. Owner was extremely friendly, would recommend for a quick bite to eat.

It's hard because my family and I love this place, but the way the owner treats his employees from time to time is embarrassing. The times we have went there when he isn't there have been amazing. The one time I was there he made a comment to one of the younger guys working saying to stop staring at girls (i am standing there waiting for my food) meanwhile he is working and the owner is barking at him doing simply nothing to contribute to his business.

Blown away! Great food...great prices... great service! Very friendly staff, too, especially the owner! Made us feel very welcome. Definitely going back next time we visit Kingston!

We were there this afternoon about 1:30 to have a smoked meat sandwich in honour of my sweetheart’s birthday! He is from Montreal and we usually go there for his birthday but not this year. The smoked meat sandwich was quite good...lots of meat but the fries were terrible!! Dark brown in colour and some were raw! No crispness at all. They tasted sweet and starchy like they had been refrigerated and/ or cooked in old oil!! Very disappointing. To pay $29 with taxes and not be able to eat the fries the price was out of line. Would have liked the option to eat on a plate even if it was paper rather than out of a paper bag.

It's a taste of home. That's if you're from Quebec. Foods outstanding. Reasonably priced. Lots of free parking. Staff is very friendly. One of my regular spots.
