“This is a great kind of breakfast joint. I’m sure they do their other meals good to you, but I had breakfast. Apparently it’s been recently renovated but I was never there before. Sort of playing regular nice clean diner looking. I ordered breakfast and it was great. Waitress was friendly, prices are very reasonable. Everyone’s breakfast around me also looked great. The coffee was excellent, which is a big deal because lots of times restaurants don’t get the coffee right. It’s right downtown just a few blocks from City Hall. Close to everything. Only about two blocks up from the water. It was busy, but always seem to be a table here or there. Tons of locals present, and while I’m new to Kingston , Tons of old-school locals have been telling me to eat here for months.”

“I have been anxiously anticipating trying this place since it's recent opening and I was definitely not disappointed! Great menu choices and a wonderful 'rustic' decor. The artichoke dip is THE best in Kingston for sure! Felt welcomed like we were family from the minute we walked in, right up until we were walking out the door. Service was maybe a little bit on the slower side but nothing too terrible. Looking forward to a hopeful breakfast or brunch menu in the future! The future looks bright for the Spud!”

“Seriously awesome experience. As a vegetarian, I was really impressed by their dishes. While there wasn't a ton of options (steakhouse) it was So good and I will never hesitate to visit. “The service was pretty good. We were seated quickly, the waiter was attentive and friendly. And if you are staying at the hotel you get a discount. No complaints there at all. The food however left something to be desired. I had the salmon and my friend had fish and chips. The salmon came over cooked, which they were very gracious in offering to make me a new piece without complaint. They also left me with my plate so I was still able to eat away at my vegetables while I waited for the new piece. My friend did not make a formal complaint but the batter at the ends of the fish were hard as rocks and he only ate half his meal. When my second piece of salmon came out it was cooked properly but really lacked flavour. My impression was that nothing was fresh, it was all frozen...including the vegetables. Using fresh ingredients would have made all the difference I believe. Again, service is really good but I would not come back again to eat a proper dinner.”

“there was only one server when we first got there and she took forever to come to our table. The sushi is okay at best. They put way too much rice! I think this is a trick that use because it's all-you-can-eat so they want to get you full with rice. Personally, I would look elsewhere for sushi if I'm in the Kingston area again soon”

“We met for dinner with friends from Toronto yet they keep their boat in Kingston, therefore they are familiar with the area. So they recommended this restaurant for dinner. As the weather was so amazing we sat on their patio outside, right off the sidewalk: great people watching. Our server Jake was very attentive and funny. They have a large drink and food menu. Everything we ordered was well made and tasty. The spicy seafood linguini was our favorite. Their Caesar cocktail is a tasty one!”

“This is the happening spot in Kingston! There was a long wait to get a table, but the seating hostess took pity on us since we had been driving all day and had never been to Kingston before. She seated us at the bar and it turned out to be a great location to have a cocktail and watch all the action in this busy place. The pizza choices are many and all baked in a wood-fired oven in plain view of the whole restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed it!”

“The customer service was top notch... the drinks were delicious... then the food arrived. Wow. I ordered fish and chips - which is such a standard item - but they took the time to make it amazing. The piece of fish flaked into large pieces, the batter wasn't overpowering or heavy, the fries weren't heavy and greasy, the tartar sauce was fresh with capers and shallots, the slaw was spiced and lightly dressed. Such a simple meal, but so much thought was put into it. The only thing that was "missing" was chef made ketchup. It was a lovely meal and would not hesitate to return. Thank you for such a lovely experience! :)”

“Had an unfortunate experience with the kiosks today, but its technology so errors are expected. I waited a while before realizing my order never went through.
