The Gaslight Diner (formerly Muma Browns Diner)

This Great little spot (Rocky Raccoon Cafe) deserves some more attention for the great food Robin prepares & brings to the table personally ! Lots of unique dishes made with local ingredients. Give em a try.

We pulled up with four sweaty, cranky kids after a hike at Sauble Falls. Our kids are picky vegetarians who don't eat vegetables (!) so unfamiliar restaurants can be a challenge. I popped in for advance reconnaissance (thinking I'd peek at the menu) and was warmly greeted by the owner and chef who gave me a quick run through the menu- yes, they have cheese tortellini for our fussy kids, but moreover they have delicious curries and samosas for the adults (and the kids tried the samosas and loved them too). The menu is lots of fun for everyone, a great mix of locally sourced meats, fish and produce, the owner's special blended curries, mixed with local flavours like maple syrup and blended local cheeses.
The exterior doesn't look super promising, but once you enter you'll enjoy the fun, eclectic decor and best of all the warm welcome of the owner, Robin. No liquor license as of yet but I'm sure it will come with time. If you're in the area, it's well worth a visit and definitely better than yet another pizza joint!

Great food. Pleasant atmosphere. Will be back soon with friends. Amazing coconut cream pie--probably the best I have ever had!!! Nice selection of meat, fish and vegetarian food.

Great food! Indian flavor that's on point. Chef is a nice guy who came and checked how the food was not once but twice. Highly recommend it for anyone that enjoys great food at reasonable prices. The lamb vindaloo is one of the best I've tried in Ontario.

Very nice little diner, food was amazing and very well priced! My only complaint is the service was a bit slow as our waitress was doing all her closing duties as we waited for the bill. Other than that a great spot to eat
