A&W Canada

This is the better A&W in the Hamilton and surrounding area. The food is consistently prepared right each time I’ve ordered here. One of the cleaner locations as well. Owner is pleasant and friendly when he’s around. I only subtracted one star because I’ve had less then friendly service from a couple cashiers who are more preoccupied with rushing you.
Overall the best choice for ‘fast food’ in the area.

First off the owner is fantastic. He cares about his business, he employs decent people who are fluent in english. A great success story of a dedicated entrepreneur. I have a lot of personal respect for him.

Food is always fresh, more so than any other A&W in the area. To be honest, this is the only good A&W in the area. Upper James serves cold food all the time and Rymal can't accept orders in english depending on who is staffed.

Shell gas in the same plaza. Fill up your sports car with Formula Shell 91, grab a Double Teen with Onion Rings and we're off.

Try it during the day when the owner is in. He runs a tight ship.

A little disappointed. All I wanted was a quick meal. Waitress was in such a rush to serve me and move on that she didn't even ask what I wanted, and just served a root beer. Nobody else in line, just a car or two in the drive through. A&W prides itself on its nostalgia....none here in the service department. Food was good, service less than satisfactory, all because of one pretentious person.

Quick and convenient. Good quality products and service. A big plus... they almost don't use plastic. Almost everything is made of paper or cardboard. Recyclable and clean.
