Island Caribbean takeout

I'd have to agree with an earlier review regarding the oxtail rice. I ordered the large portion and paid around ~14, but it was sub-par. The oxtail was mostly bone pieces with minimal amounts of meat on it presented in small-sized chunks. The flavour was barely there and I ended up adding some of my own flavours to make up for it. Overall, not a bad place, but it needs to work on delivering more bang for your buck in terms of serving sizes and flavour.

I'd recommend the Caribbean Canadian restaurant up on Concession St. if you don't mind the drive.

I ordered from islands through skip around midnight on a Saturday. Not expecting the greatest quality of well anything; but just needed a warm meal after a long day. During the ordering process I had made an error and islands was quick to not only call me but fix the order. They were kind and not condescending like most late night eateries when you make a mistake. Not to mention the food I received was AMAZING. A new favourite for sure. Channa rice dish done hot- Packed just the right heat. Thank you islands. You guys can feed me anytime. 100 percent would try again.
