Jack Astor's Bar & Grill

The service was really good, we ordered the calamari which was very tasty I didn't care for the lemon aioli but they changed it for the garlic aioli which was very good. My husband had a cheese burger which he enjoyed and the fish and chips was good as well. This was our first time at this location and we will definitely be back.

I found myself in the area with a desire for a beer and a need for a bite to eat.i seetled down at the bar and was nicely greeted by the bartender who told me his name and asked mine. Ordered a beer and wings. The wings were tossed fresh at the bar. They were hot and meaty. The bartender was friendly and attentive with fast service. Had dinner here with two friends. We had a steak meal which was very nice and the service was prompt. The waiters were very cordial, attentive and jovial. It was a snowy weekday and early evening so the crowd wasn’t large or the place too busy, which might explain why our food came on time. The ambience is good and encourages a relaxed evening.

The bar is super comfy and a nice area to eat dinner. Food seemed to be great for everyone. I had the veggie burger and mash potatoes, they were super yummy but way too much garlic butter that I scraped off. Really enjoyed the beer sampler option

Very careful and attentive service. When we lingered for a long time after our meal, we were brought fresh water and we had no sense of being rushed. A pleasant visit.

Went for late lunch and drinks with friends. Was seated, good enough service until we needed to go. Was brought a dirty container and had to chase down a waitress (literally - our server would peak through patio door with other waitresses and then return inside - deplorable). Finally, packed up and ready to leave and asked to speak to the manager who was kind but also had no intention of addressing the issue at that moment. We paid our full price and left. Was less then impressed --*** not my usual experience with Jack's at all.

**** Update: I received a same day response from the GM who offered to cover our next lunch and assured me she would be looking into the situation. We look forward to giving this location another shot! Really nice to know feedback is heard!
