This is a hidden gem! Authentic Mexican food at its best. I had 4 tacos and tried all of their sauces as well as the Mexican street corn salad and it was to die for! Thank you soon much, I will be back very soon.

Fresh food, the toppings and homemade salsas work so well with the beautiful fresh tortilla and the homemade slow simmered meats. Tacos and tortas are incredible. Maria is a saint, the music is amazing and she always has a word of the month or week relating to the season. Such a lovely place! Best authentic Mexican in Stoney Creek.

I found this place about a month ago and I have been here 10+ times already. All my friends know about it because I just can't shut up. I have tried probably half the things on their menu and everything is as delicious as could possibly be.

This place is a small taco place, not too many places to sit, but a menu as long as can be. Every time I'm there I have my phone out looking up something else on the menu as they have a myriad of options I've never heard of.

Every taco they make is delicious. The toppings are all super fresh. They have 5 different salsas to choose from. Then they have tortas - a Mexican take on a sub so to speak. Loaded with cheeses, guacamole, butter and meat, it's like a burrito on French bread. But it is absolutely to die for. I've never had a sandwich like this one before. But be forewarned - this sandwich is one you need to sit down for as it's going to be messy.

All of this comes alongside the best service I could ask for. It's a family business and everyone truly cares about the customers experience. It's definitely not fast food however as the wait is usually 5-10 minutes once you order, sometimes longer. If there's any constructive criticism, it would be to speed up service if possible as this would become a lunchtime favourite for the nearby businesses.

Maria's Tortas is an excellent, hidden gem in Stoney Creek. The staff is friendly, and we had the best burrito I have ever tasted made by a friendly chap named Jacob. There is good reason why this place has so many raving reviews.
I would especially ignore slanderous, unsubstantiated claims of employees "not washing themselves". Try the food, and see for yourself. I have introduced many friends and family members to Maria's and they all love it. The food is delicious, the service is excellent (friendly, inviting, and welcoming) all for a very reasonable price. This is by far THE BEST place for Mexican food in Hamilton.
