The Bean Bar

this place is very load but the food is very good and lots of it. the long down fall is the service is very slow and the one we had we had to ask for the cutlery and napkins, even before the order came and even after it did come. overall the place is a great meeting place for the young at heart in westdale. we would go back but only for lunch

This restaurant had delicious food options. Definitely recommend getting one of their cocktails! Opted to take the bus rather than drive because of limited parking which was mostly taken by film crew next door.

Been here a few times. The most recent was before a movie at the new improved Westdale Theatre.
Carmella was our server and I have the say she was one of the best servers we’ve ever had. So attentive to all the little details.

Pretty much all their salads are bomb, the Apple paradise sandwich is weirdly amazing (basically if Apple pie & grilled cheese was combined), and their To Die For sandwich is one the top items I recommend. Drinks wise, their Kahlua Hot chocolate is comforting and boozy all in one.

I've been here several times over the years. I forget about it and then I'm happy when I remember it's there. Nice ambience, modern, but nostalgic decor. Great dessert selection and an interesting menu (though, truthfully, it's been a while since I had food at Bean Bar). Accessible at the door, but a curb to go up as well. Parking is angled and can only be accessed from one side.

Our last experience was foiled by rather neglectful service. There was a lot of chitchatting & giggling between staff and the 2 servers paid a lot of attention to particular tables, but did not check on us after delivering the dessert. The coffee is also disappointing - with such cool menu options, fancy drink specials posted, and yummy desserts, I would expect a nicer quality roast.
