Hessenland Inn

Stayed here a couple weeks ago in one of the two the "Coach House Suites". The grounds and property of this inn are beautiful. You can come just to walk the gardens and unwind, or go for a swim in the good size outdoor pool.
The rooms in the coach house are aesthetically outdated by 15to20yrs, given the finishes. They leave alot to be desired. Furniture, although attempting to have the older look on purpose I believe, appeared to be well worn and tired with chips and marks strewn about. The bathrooms, some people won't be able to fit in, are hidden in a closet like tiny room. The whirlpool, being surrounded by carpet, didn't seem sanitary and wasn't well planned out. I think upon the next update, most would prefer a well acquainted/laid out bathroom with a tile walk in shower, over a whirpool. It's the location people are after, not an in room tub. The coach house is off on it's own providing a ton of privacy, so I would not stay in the main building.
The location is quiet and staff were friendly. We will be back and recommend to friends, once an in room update is completed in the "Coach House".

Had a wonderful time... it's perfect for a weekend getaway!! Service was great and the location is good. It's located in between Grand Bend and Bayfield so there is a lot to do within the area... Will definitely return!

I Just had the most perfect wedding at Hessenland! It was better than I ever dreamed it could be, and it's all because of this fabulous venue. Hessenland is not only an amazing location with some of the most beautiful gardens and views, but it also has the best chef money could buy and the most magical coordinator that literally makes sure everything is perfect. Liz will ensure you have no moment of worry.

I had a completely gluten free menu, as myself and my family have celiac disease. But, Liz and Frank pulled it off with perfection! The appetizers were amazing! And the gluten free pizza at the end of the night literally changed my life. It was the best gluten free pizza I have have ever had! I'm just hoping Frank is willing to share his recipe ????.

I will recommend this venue to everyone who is looking. It is literally the best!
