Wow ! It was a perfect and beautiful experience at Riva restaurant. We didn’t take any reservation in advance so we waited 20 minutes to get a table but that was fine because we walked around before coming back.
The decor is refine and cozy.
All the staff was respectful and smiley. Our waitress was amazing, she was patient and explained well the specials.
The bread as the appetizer is a MUST!
Our rib steak was so juicy and “à point”! Wow. And the vegetables were perfectly cooked (they grow it locally which is great!).
Plus, we didn’t wait long for the meals !
For being myself a waitress, I rate this restaurant 5 for their service and their food !:)

I came here with my boyfriend, and it was one of the nicest restaurants we've ever been to. The atmosphere was so rustic and charming, the customer service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious. If you're planning a romantic dinner or lunch, this is the place I would wholeheartedly recommend. ????

Excellent service, fantastic food, amazing gardens, and, delightful patio. This is the "must eat here" place when in Gananoque. Patio has only a few tables which helps keep it quiet, but may make it difficult to seat groups of 5 or more. However, the interior is nicely decorated and provides a very welcoming atmosphere. Great dining experience from start to finish!

My family use to own the Golden Apple before it was sold and Riva was built. They have done an AMAZING job. Looks fabulous and they have kept the original to mesh with their awesome new fresh style. The food is mainly pastas and pizza and others are specialized for anyone who likes to have something that may be different.

Took my wife on our anniversary. Splendid meal and ambiance. Make sure to make a reservation. If not you will just need to wait in the busy summer months. We sat inside. They have a beautiful patio in the back of the building away from the busy road.

There is also a bar in the area that use to be the parlor. The kitchen is visible when you walk in and can see everything getting made.

So happy to see the place redone and I wish the owners nothing but the best.

Wonderful restaurant! Excellent staff, decor and ambience! Food was excellent! The coffee was very good! Expensive list of wines & liquors! Can't wait till I go back...
