    Very welcoming place . Waitress n even owners are wonderful, putting us at ease. We have our baby of 14 months old and they did everything they can to accommodate us. Nice food. The fried platter n butter chicken were delicious! Ashley, the waitress was so attentive! Thanks a lot!

    What a pleasant surprise! My hubby and I were looking for a place to grab a bite for dinner while staying in Gananoque overnight. We decided on The When and Anchor, because it was walking distance from where we were staying, the menu online looked really tasty, and it had some really good reviews. We were not disappointed! We shared the fried platter, because we weren't super hungry. The platter came with battered haddock, calamari, butterfly shrimp, scallops, and fries, with cocktail sauce, tartar sauce, and coleslaw. The fish was cooked perfectly, soft and flaky on the inside, and perfectly crispy on the outside. The calamari was cooked just right. Shrimp and scallops were both nice as well. Portions were big, easily enough for 2 to share, and we couldn't even finish it all! Service was excellent, and the price was very reasonable. We would definitely come back again.

    Delicious food and friendly service. Finally a restaurant, not a fast food franchise.
    Had awesome wild boar sliders.
    Will come again, when in the region!
