Really cool Island and very friendly people. The restaurant is volunteer run and offers good food (3-4 stars depending on what you order) and very friendly staff. Had their burger with a salad, my wife had the Buddha bowl and our son had the pulled pork. Very clean and well maintained. They also have a good breakfast section and yummy ice cream.

Best place on Amherst Island. Also the only place on Amherst Island, which gives it a special charm. Prices are very reasonable, staff is great, location is perfect, and it has a special out of the ordinary charm.

Delicious Ceasar salad with chicken. Its a simple community run kitchen so leave a donation too. One of those diners where everybody knows each other. Lovely.

Dropped in here a few years ago when birding on the island. Asked if they took debit or credit, and the answer astounded us. "No, just cash", we were told, "but have a seat, order what you want, and send us a cheque." ?! Now THAT is service! We enjoyed our meal very much, and with the vegetable garden outside the front door we knew that many of the ingredients were fresh. And we did send a cheque, with a very healthy tip!
