I have been coming here since I was a teenager. Jim’s pizza is honestly some cobourgs best. If you haven’t been yet you really need to come by. Large portions and worth the wait.
This place was fantastic. A small shop that has a small patio to seat 4 tables. We ended up here cause the smell of freshly baked pizza came all the way down the street!!! Hand down the wait was worth It. A gentlemen at the restaurant told us we were lucky. Cause usually on a weekend or friday night we wont be able to find a spot.
The smell in this place is intoxicating. Definitely reels you in. The homemade dough was very good, but the pizza lacked sauce (it was dry) and cheese. Tastes like a homemade pizza but not outstanding. Service is slow. We sat on the patio and a few times we contemplated leaving on account of being forgotten. Probably won’t be coming back.
After watching or catching salmon, go grab some pizza at Jim's. Excellent service. Cozy inside and a nice little patio outside. The toppings are plentiful and the pan pizza crust is just right. No thin crust in this joint but that's okay when the cheese is stringy and the crust has a nice bite. They also use paper straws so kudos to that! Well worth the stopover in downtown Port Hope.
Fresh tasty pizza. Very busy on the Saturday evening we went at 6pm. We agreed it was worth the wait. It,s great to support local businesses when I am traveling around. The toppings were fresh and plentiful. I was so thankful for a real crust that was cooked the right way. A crust makes or breaks a pizza in my view. The staff were very friendly all the while extremely busy. Kudos on the great service.
