Jack Astor's Bar & Grill

I wanted to say a big thank you to Jack Astor's for the wonderful service myself and my friends had yesterday! One of my friends ordered the steak and found that it was overdone so our server (Alex B) was quick to bring it back and get it remade. After he brought the new one back, the manager was right behind him to make sure it was to her liking and apologized (on top of the servers apologies) and they comped the meal. We had also mentioned to our server that it was our friends 30th so he brought out a brownie with a sparkler - what a nice touch!
I know these are things that should be expected but these days it's so hard to come by good service and they took care of the problem right away. It really felt genuine. So thank you Jack's, I will not hesitate to come back over and over!

I should have asked about that, because to be honest, this "mild" business had my nose running in no time! The other slightly off the mark issue was a mild one at that, but funny - I asked for water, which was brought out quickly, but there was so much ice in it that I had to ask for another glass almost right away. Second glass, same thing. Tilted my head back ... and got a face full of ice! Ok, joke's on me!!

Loved it, food was amazing and the best item was the steak and the peppercorn sauce. You recognize a great steak place with the quality of the sauce. It was amazing with green and black whole pepper grains.

The service was also top notch and the manager made me feel important. Great place that I highly recommend.

Good but not great. We went at lunch on a Thursday and were quickly seated. Our order was taken quickly and food came quickly however a Cesar starter salad never showed and we told staff but there was no follow up. We were not charged for the item but it was irritating to not receive our full order. We also had to ask for salt and pepper for the table as the calamari was a little bland. While our waitress seemed attentive our water glasses sat empty throughout most of the meal and were not refilled. I would probably go again but it wouldn't be my first choice.

The food was very good but the service was awful. Had a training waitress which was fine but had to call them over to take our order and they took another order before us which was seated after us! Also, was given a water glass that was broken and when mentioned to them was told probably broke in the dishwasher! The trainer was standing a few feet away talking to the new waitress and should have been paying more attention to us as the paying customer!!
Thank you for your response and I email you as requested. It was nice to get a quick response to my email but there has been no follow up after my email to them!!!
Just a follow up to by review. I received an email with a response and would send a gift to return to the restaurant. I did receive a $50.00 voucher in the mail and I returned to the same store last weekend. The food was excellent which was never an issue the serve was so much better. The waiter was friendly and returned to check on us many times. I would certainly recommend this store and will return again.
