This restaurant appears to be a local favourite, and at the time I was here, especially for retirees who are always looking for a good value.
The prices are very reasonable, and the food all seems homemade.
We had a roast beef on a bun (with meat from a local butcher, according to the menu) and a bacon cheeseburger. It would have been nice to see better cheese on the cheeseburger, but this isn't going to alter my 5-star review. The fries were fantastic. The next time I'm in I'm going to ask what they do to them before they get fried. And the pie! OMG you have to have their pie! All homemade, of course.
Jim's Lunch takes me back to my childhood. A small-town place, cozy and good food. Loved the hot hamburger sandwich.
Very cute diner. Clean and good food. Fresh pies baked daily. It is small, only 10-15 tables but worth the wait if you need to. Perfect place to stop by during a Sunday drive which is what we did.
Clean...Friendly Staff. Ths food was good. Great prices. We were happy they had a breakfast menu :)
My experience was really great! I am here from the states so it was a bit different than I'm accustomed to. The portion sizes were spot on and the food was delicious (I ordered the club sandwich, I believe, and sweet potato fries). It was really different to get a can of pop instead of being served a fountain drink with free refills. That's an American thing I hear.
Overall, I would absolutely return! The staff was polite, service was fast and food was delicious. I can't speak for the other 4 people in my group and their experience but I didn't hear any complaints and nobody was hungry when we left.
