Village Bakery Embrun

Our favorite bakery! Great place to buy a picnic box o'donuts and croissants to take to nearby Yahoo Park for splash pad family fun. The croissants are out of this world and everything is very affordable.

Excellent bakery! Donuts (especially the fritters like everyone else has mentioned) are top notch and very reasonably priced. I've had the gourmet donuts in Ottawa that are twice the price but they are half as good as the ones sold here. Lovely little place with a great atmosphere. Highly, highly recommended!

Really good bakery, especially for grab and go items. They lose there stars for very poor customer service when ordering custom cakes. When we ordered the cake we were told that the cake would be decorated accordingly for the event.Sadly this was not the case and they almost ruined the once a life time event for us, since we were not extremely specific on what we wanted on the cake. They gave us a plain cake with some frosting on it. When we asked why there wasn't anything done to it for the specific occasion someone told us to go to independent and buy decorations and do it our self... wow. She looked very young though so i let it slide. The other person we spoke to told us that we must be very specific with every detail, common sense does not apply. Other then that like i said great place for grab and go and if you want something custom made make sure to tell them exactly where every decoration and sprinkle should go. I most likely will not be ever getting anything custom from here again and would rather go to artistic cake design next time in the west end for custom cakes.

Edit May 30th 2019: Thank you for the Response. The person you are referring to is not me. My issue was related to a first communion cake not an E shaped cake with different style rosettes. I am a bit more concerned now since I am apparently not a rare incident at your bakery. My goal is not to criticize your bakery but to help you learn on how to improve your customer service by bringing up my issue. For your reference, in the future I would not call out any customers with there specific issues. You still have my business and if I was that customer you called out that may of cost you my business.

Excellent bread and baked goods. If going for breakfast the menu isn't super obvious but is available if you ask. Nice cafe atmosphere and great coffee (Equator Coffee Co.)

Absolutely loved my experience at Village Bakery. I can definitely say that you have the absolute BEST apple fritters and donuts that I have ever had. I also have to note that the customer service is a 10/10. Your pastry chef is very pleasant to deal with and I appreciated the time he spent helping me pick out bread for dinner. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
