Halibut House Fish & Chips Pickering

Really amazing halibut. Nice size pieces. Service was good. Good coleslaw, fries a bit bland but okay. The fish was the star as it should be. Great battered and fried mushrooms.

This was my first time eating at halibut house. We used a buy one get one free haddock and chips coupon. The price was $12.95 for one and we got the second free I was surprised at how large the fish piece were. It was a filling meal. The fries were large cut, the coleslaw had the right amount of vinaigrette and was not overloaded with mayo. The fish tasted great. It had just the right amount of batter and not too greasy. The venue was very clean. I like the large screen TVs.

This family run location is excellent. It is a local favourite and they live up to their reputation. They do one thing and do it well. Dont look at the menu just have the halibut and chips and thank me later. Staff is very welcoming. Assume there will be a line up for dinner so call ahead for take out. Fridays are packed as expected!

I enjoy there breakfast selection. They make it easy for you to have a wholesome breakfast within any budget. The coffee is great!

Love this place! Food is always fresh and yummy. I usually get the halibut, which melts in your mouth, and a Greek salad. I have never been a fan of cod and haddock that is until I tried their specials. Oh my goodness, so good! Moist and not weird fishy tasting. They always give you too many fries but they are also good and not bits of fries as you would get in some locations. They recently added calamari which again is really good. The restaurant is clean and staff is lovely and friendly. I definitely recommend this restaurant!
