Lone Star Texas Grill

This is going to quickly become my favorite restaurant! Used to go to Jack’s for their fajitas (never tried Texas Lone Star) but recently learned Jack Astor’s took fajitas completely off their menu!! “Buh bye “Jack’s and Hello Lone Star! Great service and excellent fajitas!!!!! ????????

Service was good. We were a group of about 10 but they still got everything right and served us all at about the same time. The food was great!

We went to Lone Star in Pickering last Friday at 6:30 to celebrate as a family. It was busy! We needed to wait 20 min for a table. Our server was courteous and thoughtful but I think truthfully she could have used some extra hands with it being so busy in there - maybe extra staff just to get water and condiments, or extra napkins to the table. We had the steak (perfect!), and the chicken fajitas (yummy!) and the kids had the burgers and salad (average kids’ meals but pricier than other restaurants at $9 each). The kitchen itself was also very busy. But our dinner was wonderful and ultimately worth the wait. Over all a great experience. Tip: If you’re going on a Friday and you can afford to wait until 7:30 or 8 to eat, the restaurant does seem to be less busy then - or reserve ahead of time.

Pricey but portions are huge, averaged $33/person including tip. We had 10 people in our sitting so pretty much everything on the menu was ordered. Steaks, ribs, chicken, fajitas, burgers and all the sides were top notch delicious! I'd recommend this restaurant.
