Patois Jamaican Restaurant

Ambience is bright and clean. Staff is friendly. Chef visited the table and made us feel at home. Food was very good but not authentic Jamaican as they added their own special twist to the menu. A bit on the pricey side but helpings were generous. Would recommend that you give them a try.

Went here for the first time last night after craving some Jamaican food. I've never been asked how spicy I like my jerk chicken which was a nice surprise - it's usually too spicy for me but I suffer through it because I love the jerk flavor! that being said, I took the mild and it was soooo flavorful and not too spicy and it was just great. The plantain was also great. You can tell that it was made with love for the food which is always a good thing. Highly recommend, it was delicious.

The food at Patois was excellent. We particularly liked the Pepper Pot soup which was very flavourful with lots of meat and provisions! Both the jerk chicken and oxtail were very well prepared. Be cautious if you do like it too spicy! The fish sells out fast so come early! This is an excellent place if you are looking for an authentic Jamaican food experience.
