Golden Fish & Chips

Excellent fish n chips!! Just had 2 orders of halibut n chips plus with an extra piece of fish last nite!! It is the BEST in town! ????

The oil used in fries has a bitter aftertaste (when same oil is used a large number of times for frying) and it overpowers the experiance. The quality of fish and batter is good, though the service is just okay.

The fries are excellent, the haddock was lightly breaded and fried perfectly. Got there just after lunch service, but service was spot on.

Fish and Chips is pretty standard fare - that comfort food that not only fills your belly, but also nourishes the soul.

I ordered the halibut on a kaiser. If I return, I’d forgoe the bun and simply have the fish. The sandwich was lacking - perhaps because there was too much bun and a very lacklustre (prepackaged) tartar sauce.

The fish itself was well portioned and tasty. The fries tasted as though they’d been reheated.

The counter service was quick. The place itself could benefit from a general clean-up. There’s potential here - a little extra effort could go a long way.
