Excellent meal. Great atmosphere. Owner retiring in November. Get there before then. You won't be sorry.
This is my third time going to this restaurant while visiting Niagara Falls.
Food 10/10
Price 10/10
As someone who eats japanese food a lot, this place definitely beat my expectation. I would say after so many restaurants i tried around the area, this is the hidden gem in the town
It's actually a pretty good Japanese restaurant. The entrance is a bit sinister, but the dining area is quite nice. The food was reasonably priced (for Niagara), but the menu was quite extensive, and pretty good as well.
At first, I was a bit skeptical due to the cleanliness of the washrooms. However, after taking a look over the menu and speaking with the server about a couple of things she may suggest, this was seriously the most fantastic experience that I have ever had at a non-chain type restuarant. The food was truly unbelievable, the service was fantastic and the experience as a whole was one to remember for sure.
5 stars, hands down to this absolutely fantastic restaurant.
I’ll admit, when we walked to this spot after our Niagara Falls boat tour I was a little skeptical. The outside leaves a lot to be desired. When you get in, you walk up three floors (or take the elevator if that’s your thing) to find a fairly large restaurant. We were seated in one of the private booths which was nice. We ordered from the lunch menu which ends at 2:30pm and that came with salad and soup. Their ginger dressing is delicious and it was the first time I’d ever had an salad at a Japanese restaurant that had actual leafy lettuce instead of only iceberg. The miso soup was also flavorful. I ordered the fried cutlet which came with the pickled beets, a small seaweed salad and a side of rice. Everything was super tasty and well worth the uphill walk, I promise. The service was also quick - we were in and out in less than an hour and our waitress was incredibly attentive. Also, they have a decent amount of veggie/vegan options if you have someone in your group with those restrictions. I would highly recommend!
