Jack Astor's Bar & Grill

We came here to share a dinner and have a glass of wine. We had a 15% off food coupon. While ordering our glasses of wine we were happily surprised to be told it was half price for wine bottles day. Bottom line, our server (May) was too busy with her other tables to give us much attention. The steak was cooked perfectly but everything was cold. We had requested an extra plate when we ordered however it did not arrive with the food; we had to ask again when the food was brought and wait to get the plate. We had to ask for the bread that was supposed to come. When paying the bill we told May that her tip was going to reflect the service we received and she agreed that she had not provided us good service.

Great customer service. I would definitely recommend the ceasar salad with shrimps. The only reason i didn't gave a five star because the salad is large and it only had 6 shrimps in it- i bought it for 2 persons. I think they could give me the option of adding more shrimps at a different cost but don't put 6 shrimps in a huge salad without my knowledge. We were there eating and after 3 mouthful shrimps done is only lettuce left in the bowl.

Great atmosphere at this location! The bartender Julia provided amazing service, was welcoming and very knowledgeable about the craft beers. The manager, Emily introduced herself as well and was extremely friendly. I'll be sure to come back

We went to the restaurant once before in a different part of Toronto so we tried another one while we were here. The food was good here. Lots of big portions. The macho nachos definitely lived up to it's name. The beef tacos came with 3 tacos. The buffalo chicken tenders we're awesome. But the service was pretty slow.
