Portland Jerk

I'm giving 4 star because the food is great and that's what I'm rating. If you can ignore rude people just go, because the food is good. The workers behind the counter are awful, with rude personalities. Only one of them smiled and I can tell she's new. Went there few days back and 2 consumers walked out because of poor customer service. I was about to walk out myself and go to kfc opposite this restaurant but I thought about all the oil from kfc and just got what I came for.

Love this place. But it depends on who's dishing up your food. Almost always get the large oxtail. Sometimes it's enough to feed two people, sometimes I can eat the whole thing and still be hungry.
Soup is always the mark of a good Jamaican joint - and their soup is always good. They don't seem to use any thickener.
Tuesday jerk chicken special is a steal.
Jerk pork is all protein and not a bunch of fat and bones like some other places.

My fiance and I always go here. Their food is the best. She normally gets the goat with rice and peas and swears by it. I get the jerk pork roti. Tonight she did it extra spicy for me, almost killed me but oh so good and oh so worth it. Kola champagne with it makes it amazing. Go on Fridays for red pea soup.

Good food. Staff could smile more but that might be asking too much. There doesn't ever seem to be stew beef. But can't go wrong with anything on the menu. And the coleslaw is just amazing. I just wished they sold cooked beef patties. They sell frozen boxes of beef patties but I don't want a box of patties. Sometimes you just want 1 or 2 patties. I think they are supposed to move locations in the same parking lot so we'll see what changes. Don't miss out on the great selection on drinks. Probably one of the best around.
