Kantene Restaurant

Came for the award winning veal. It's great. Doesn't beat my favorite, but pretty close. The parmigian crisp is a great touch.

The eggplant fries and onion rings are fantastic.

We went to this restaurant to try the veal sandwich and to check out the menu. The menu has lots of variety from burgers to pasta to vegetarian dishes. We tried the veal sandwich supreme with fries, a reg veal sandwich and eggplant fries. I am usually very picky when I go to restaurants but this veal sandwich was perfect. Nice breading, the veal was very tender, it came with eggplant on the sandwich and the bun was perfect. Of course they made fresh cut fries and they were great. The panko coated eggplant fries were also amazing with a nice dipping sauce. It was a nice touch that you could finish the meal off with an espresso and a selection of cakes or desserts. This is great value for the money, no comparison to a chain restaurant and this is restaurant quality food at a cheaper price. The location is a bit out of the way and you have to know where you are going to find it. The staff was also very good. Highly recommended!

Went there to try their award-winning veal sandwich and it was good. However, what impressed me the most, was their Persian Lamb Burger. It was the best lamb burger I've ever had and I was thoroughly pleased with it.
The fries and eggplant fries are good as well.

FYI - The restaurant is a bit small, and can seat about 15 people comfortably.

Kantene lived up to the hype. Burgers were delicious. Staff were cheerful and accommodating. This counter service restaurant provides a bright, cheerful space in white and turquoise with limited seating. The food is fresh, hot, and creative, as well as good value. Highly recommend a visit.

Kantene Restaurant is the definition of not judging a book by its cover. It is set in a building which clearly does not match the beyond par service and food at this lovely comfort food restaurant. The Veal Sandwich which was recommended to me was delicious and absolutely deserving of the best in Ontario and the Fries were of the same quality. Kantene is a must try if you love food. Keep up the good work guys.
