Lena's Roti & Doubles

Food was okay and pricing was comparable to other West Indian shops in the GTA. Their small roti is $8.50 and was quite small but it is the going rate. Their chicken chow mien was on special for $9.99, and was disappointing which consisted of seasoned spaghetti noodles with chunks of chicken and veggies in it. Their snack prices are quite pricey. I would not return there again as there are other places that offer better flavour and value. They kept asking how you want each dish prepared - either regular or spicy, or hot. I ordered hot for each and then when the food came, the server stated that she would give a small container of pepper sauce to make the food spicy. The server then asked all of the other customers how they want their food - regular or spicy or hot. I didn't understand why they would ask, when all they do is provide the pepper sauce on the side anyways.

Staff are awesome, very personable. I feel like I'm talking to an uncle or aunt here. Everything tastes freshly made, nothing seems frozen. There are degrees of variance in the food from time to tike, but that just ensures its not frozen. Jerk chicken, curried goat and doubles (veg) are all amazing. Caution: the hot is legit hot. One of the best West Indian restaurants I've been to. Love both the Curry Goat and Jerk Chicken roti's and doubles are good as well.

If you are in the area this is a must try, they have daily specials as well and pricing is very good for the portion of food you get! I come here almost once a week to get food.

Excellent spot to get delicious rotis and doubles!! It was my first time visiting today, and I would definitely go back again. They were also super friendly and welcoming - the customer service was really great. And that's hard to find these day. Highly recommend this spot!

First I was skeptical if it would be a good place for a business lunch with my manager but the food turned out amazing.
Although i would say we didn't get a table there because of the rush hour but our food was ready for take-out in like 15-20 minutes.
The food tasted really good. The quality and quantity were perfect. We ordered two serving of Jerk Chicken and it came with peas (beans) and rice.
They do ask you for the spice level. I went for a mild level and i was satisfied with how the food tasted overall. Will visit again for sure.
