I love poutine, but Smoke's is not that good. The gravy is never hot enough to melt the curds, and the flavour is lackluster and more salty than anything else. Fries are usually not crispy, so when topped with gravy it's just a soggy mess halfway through.
Great food! Perfect place to go for a late night bite. Food is always exceptional. Customer service is always great!
Have tried most of the options on the menu but I enjoy the traditional one most. Mostly have taken to go. This place has minimal seating arrangement.
On my recent visit we had a big order around 8-9 boxes of small , medium sizes but since there was just one staff member it was super super slow. I had just one group ahead of me with like 3 boxes which took over 15 mins and I had a 30+ min wait time. It's not usually like that but this was wasn't great. However all the items were good and we enjoyed!
I thought the Poutine was excellent. The ingredients are fresh and they have variety to chose from. The topping mixes are quite unique and the no-meat butter chicken (cauliflower instead of chicken pieces) worked perfectly. The fries were okay but not the greatest, quite skinny, didn't add but didn't detract from the dish. The service that we received was amazing, the counter person was awesome. This is a must try place for any poutine fan.
Food here is as good as expected, not over the top amazing but it's still really good. They specialize in a lot of meat varieties. Wait times are about 5-10m to get an average size poutine. The place needs a good wipe down, but everything is contained so the cleanliness matters a little less. I don't recommend a sit down and eat, but I suggest trying the food.
