This place is a pretty decent in terms of quality of food. The decor is amazing. The service needs to really improve a lot. There was no communication between the staff and the same was visible. The servers need to be a little more attentive. The staff also needs better training of their own menu or the menu needs to be changed,as there is stuff that is optional which we weren't informed at the time of placing the order. This happened twice. All in all I would go to this restaurant only if I was in the vicinity.
Perfect night! Went to Kolkata Club last night for a holiday party for our company. We had a group of 20, 16 of them are used to eating great Punjabi cuisine and 4 are not used to any Indian food. The Punjabi group LOVED the different take on traditional dishes, and the non-Punjabi group LOVED trying all the amazing food. The atmosphere is awesome, the decor is beautiful and timeless, the bar is well-stocked and beer fresh and cold. Best mango lassi I've tried in a long time too!
Awesome service, and the owner, Kunal, showed us a really great time. We will definitely be back, hopefully more than just annually at our holiday party!
It wasn’t busy when we came in. To be honest, I was skeptical at first because the place was quiet during dinner service. The decor and and furniture were all fancy looking. Chairs were comfy and the place looked generally clean. We ordered the veggie platter appetizer. The dish itself was okay, but the potatoes were a let down as they were too “plain”. Just huge chunks of spicy potatoes- I would have preferred if they made another type of fritter out of it instead. The other components of the dish were good though. There were mushrooms and soya- all flavoured well. The soya/vegetarian butter chicken was good. I liked the richness of the sauce. The eggplant dish was yummy too. The curry was just right for my liking. It’s balanced- you can taste all the different spices and textures. Server was attentive too. He made sure to explain certain dishes and made recommendations as well. Would come back for sure.
Used to give this place 5 stars because the level of service was way above par. Now, it's still good, but doesn't have that element of class it used to. Great food. Never disappointed about what we have to eat.
Very unique menu compared to typical Indian restaurants. The vibe, decor and service justifies the slightly upscale prices . The staff really takes care of you and seem very interested in giving you a good experience . The food tasted and looked great. The Long island Iced Chai is the strongest drink I've ever had at a restaurant , their drink menu has some great Indian versions of popular drinks .. definitely recommended for special occasions
