“Visited Quik Chik one night recently after a brief Costco has run, seeking something for dinner. Interacted with Moin, who was very friendly and helpful - especially important because I had not been before and was overwhelmed by all the choices. I had a special request regarding chicken thighs (vs drumsticks) and he obliged; he even provided an extra piece of chicken when I realized I had not shown him my Costco receipt for a potential discount. He also handed me a hot, fresh biscuit while I waited. We do not eat fried chicken often. We found this to be very flavorful and we did enjoy our meal and had plenty of leftovers since the pieces were quite large. Somehow, they are always great the following day. In some areas, it was slightly overcooked (a bit dry, with too much coating), but tasty nonetheless and overall, good. I enjoyed my experience at this location, which displayed very caring customer service and was neatly kept. I would recommend to anyone seeking a quick fried chicken meal.”

“Not bad. Went here during lunch specials and had decent portions served to us for a decent price. As a vegan, Hakka always has some great flavourful choices. I enjoyed being able to order sweet and sour vegetables since normally that sauce is only on the meaty menus. The place was quiet with abundant seating. The only sad part? Most Hakka places we go to feed you so much that there’s always leftovers. We didn’t come across that here for our lunch meal.”

“Phenomenal experience. Ordered the haddock fish and chips and the super sumo burger combo. Was not at all disappointed. The haddock fish and chips does have a bit of a rough batter (my only critique), but they were generous with the fish inside. The super sumo burger.... damn, what a burger. Toppings taste fresh and those patties are so meaty. It was absolutely one of the best burgers I've ever had. Kudos to the cooks.”

“Really love this restaurant! We got the bbq lamb meat, the meatball soup, rice with lamb and the chicken. Everything was delicious! Their bbq lamb was unique, and you can taste the difference right there. This is really authentic! The rice with lamb was less impressive, as I would prefer chunk meat to give the rice more flavors. The meatball soup was very unique, and I enjoyed it a lot. The chicken was good, though a little bit on the salty side. The portion of it was huge though, we only managed to finish half of it. Overall really nice food with unique flavors!”

“At the moment the quality of the food is quite good. However with this expansion, it remains to be seen whether or not they are able to maintain their standards. I will also say that their portions are not as big as the restaurants in the East end. The decor is great. It is bright airy and excellent ventilation. There are also lots of private rooms so lots of opportunity for those bigger family dinners or a chance to actually talk without losing your voice.”
