“My soccer team meets here after game night on Tuesdays. This is a popular place in the neighbourhood especially for Leaf games. It is busy even on a Tuesday but the owner usually finds a way to squeeze us in whether we are 4 or 10. Service is great and the food delicious. Fred's is most famous for their grilled calamari. We love it and I was bragging about it to some friends when another overheard me and said "are you talking about Fred's." Seems to be a well known fact that the grilled calamari is very delicious.”

The meat portions were surprisingly smaller than I expected considering it's the highest price around the city for a takeout dinner box (over $18 after tax for rice, salad, couple of potatoes and two chicken skewers which weren't even all meat - 25% veggies, 75% meat). Would I recommend? Sure. Come again? Probably not.”

“Its a place where you scoop your own ingredients for the noodle soup. It has more than 30 items to choose from such as fish balls, seaweed, mushroom, noodles, tofu etc. Then you can weight the stuff you chose and choose your protein and drink. It's almost like a hot pot, but they cook it for you and you don't get refill but for cheaper price. I would say chinese would like this place more just because we use to the hot pot style. But for others might be weird to try black fungus, quail egg, or ham etc. in your noodle soup.”

“I found this place when I craved to have a afghan kabob. Small take out place. Always busy with lot of customers. Which means the good is of good quality and decent price. They have different afghan pizza options which is a treat. Their stuffed bread with potato or veggies is another must try. It's a family owned business. One should try this place when around the area. They have a small seating arrangement but not suitable for couple or friends dinner kinda stuff. Would recommend for sure . Good customer service”
