Sushi Kiku Japanese Cuisine

Food was good and I was seated quickly as they weren't that busy that night. It was annoying when I politely asked for a booth if possible and the host responded with a sarcastic comment that if no reservation means no both. He could have been more tactful. Service was quick and there were exclusive dishes only available at this location. A huge negative is the lack of parking.

Disappointing. I don't expect good service from places like this on a good day, but this was particularly bad. Nobody so much as said hello, just handed us a tablet. Food came quickly, but they rushed us for 'last call' and then when that food came they started cleaning up our table as if we'd left when we hadn't moved yet....clearly rushing us to get out. In doing this, they spilled water on one of our party members and it was almost as if to say 'well, now you have to leave because the table is soaked'. Felt very unwelcome. Obviously the servers were doing it because they were done their shifts because they scurried out the door five minutes after us. In addition, there was no description on any of the dishes (I don't mean like salmon rolls, I mean like what exactly is a 'Tex Mex roll??), just bad pictures that led to us ordering things far different than what we thought they were. Lastly, I found three long black hairs on our plates and a giant beetle crawled up the back of the chair behind me. While these things in isolation probably aren't the biggest deal, in combination with everything else it just seemed dirty. Won't be back.

Excellent service, fantastic food, quick to have the food to the table. Not a huge selection, but superb quality. Sad that the pork skewers are no longer offered. My sons do not recommend the octopus balls however ????????????. Love coming here when we are in the city.
