Honestly such a lovely staff and the food is good. I'm Lebanese and from Ottawa (Shawarma capital of the world) so I think I can review accurately. I ordered the kabob and it was full of flavour and tender.
I think the only criticism I have is how the sandwich is wrapped. I suggest they do the traditional way of placing two halves on each other and rolling rather than stuff one half and then rolling. It brings the flavour together. I'd probably also go with a different pita bread, but maybe there isn't much supply around.
Gotta give it 5*.
Owner was also so so so nice to offer me cup of tea and join me for a chat.
This has become a favourite place! After first finding it, we have brought friends, family and co-workers. Highly recommend! Food is outstanding and the portion sizes are LARGE! Lots of workmen frequent this place - looking for hardy food and lots of it! The people who work here are kind, considerate and generous. On my last visit, they gave us tea and even a container of Turkish spice, which they generally use in their rice. Falafel is a great vegan option too and my preferred choice. They have lots of toppings choices and, once it's put together, they grill it. The prices are very reasonable. They do catering and I've even seen a food delivery service (like DoorDash) in there, picking up orders. Don't expect coffee here, because they don't serve that, but they have a wide variety of pop, juice and they also have bottled water. They are open late and a really worth a visit!
Tonight we ordered from Chez Talal from Skip The Dishes.. We were missing part of our order so I called the restaurant. They were very apologetic and sent the missing part of the order via Uber! Once the food arrived they included a baklava with a note saying they were sorry. The food here is excellent! My husband is middle eastern and typically is disappointed with the middle eastern food in this area. However, him and his Lebanese mother have said how good the food here is. Great service too. Thanks so much Chez Talal for fixing the mistake promptly.
Generous portions. Inviting service. You just have to go there and try everything on their menu. It's my first time here and definitely not my last time.
The single dollar sign is not accurate and should be two. We were here for lunch and there were not less than $10 lunch specials which was unfortunate.
The customer service was really good. The high chair they had was very nice quality. Even though you are supposed to bring your own food to your table, they did it for me since my infant son was crying and let me attend to the him and pay later.
It is really hard to make me go wow and this did not do that but the food is very good The portions are generous but it should be given that the prices are a bit high.
I don't think I would come back. My middle eastern food craving is only once or twice a year and I'd like to try some place new. Would I recommend it? I would say it is a good place to eat but not a "must try".
