The King's Landing Bar & Grill

We spent a very nice evening here. We booked a table, and it was ready. We were greeted at the door, and shown to our table. The service was very prompt and efficient, the food was fast rate, and the price very modest , $65 for two, which included beer and wine,

If I was to nit pick, I would say it was a little noisy, but that seems to be a common factor for most restaurants . It needs some noise absorbing panels on the ceiling and walls

Don’t let the location deter you, this place is great. It’s elegant and very clean. The food is delicious and staff are very friendly.

We got a variety of items and they all tasted good. Recommended:

- Blue Cheese Burger
- Fried Chicken Sandwich
- Duck something poutine

The only thing I would recommend is a larger selection wine

The King's Landing offers consistently excellent food in a very friendly (and busy) setting. There is a wide selection of choices available on a relatively small menu. The ratio of price to quality of the food is outstanding. The owner and his staff always make you feel welcome. The restaurant is fairly small and, more often than not, packed, so you will likely need to arrive early or be prepared to wait for 15-20 minutes to get a table.

The food was good but I was unhappy about the service. Walked in at around 2 pm and asked for a booth. Server claimed they were going to get really busy and needed to save that table. She showed me a table more off to the side that seated the same amount of people as the booth I wanted. Didn't understand that. I ordered less than I would have ordered because I was really put off by that. Didn't want to make a scene. The food was really good and I would go back for the food, bit the server was not that good. Most places I go to would notice I need a refill in my drink but this one was too busy chatting with her co workers and the customers about her tattoos to notice me trying to get her attention. Might go back, but probably going to wait to see if there is a turn over to n staff and this server is no longer there.

Tried the Portabelo mushroom burger and the New York. They were both juicy and tasty. The shoe string fries and the sweet potato fries were fresh and crispy. The burgers all come with a horse radish mayo sauce, I recommend getting this on the side, and apply if you decide you like it. I enjoyed it by dipping the fries in it. I also recommend swapping ketchup for BBQ sauce. The half pint size is great for lunch, don't let the gas station deceive you, good ambience inside.
