Kung Po House Chinese Cuisine

This is a little gem of a place tucked away just a block off the main street. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is cosy and decorated with personality. Most importantly, the food is delicious! The ingredients are super fresh, and everything we tried was great. Great value for your money. Highly recommend.

My bf and I were in the area last week on a camping trip. We wanted Chinese food and first went to Shanloons which was a big disappointment. Their limited buffet was not impressive. We then decided to try Kung Po House. The lady who owns the restaurant was extremely friendly and had a very outgoing personality as well as sense of humour. She even gave me a free refill on the house. The food was amazingly good. It was hot, fresh, came on time and tasted SOOOO good. Her husband was the chef in the kitchen who prepared such a delightful meal. We finished every bite. And seriously I could have eaten more! It was that good! We shared the shrimp with vegetables, mushroom fried rice and lemon chicken. Now I'd say the lemon chicken stole the show!! Of all our travels across Ontario, this little gem hits the top 5. I would say the interior décor needs a little help. Just too dark in there. But other than that, it's highly recommend.

Awesome food and staff!

The combination number 4 consisted of chicken fried rice, sweet chicken rolls, green pepper beef and egg roll. The chicken rolls contained a lot of flour and small piece of chicken inside. The beef and fried rice was tasty. The meal was filling.

Very clean and quiet family run restaurant. The waiters are super friendly.

Didn’t actually try the food here but I did some work in the kitchen and I was impressed by the cleanliness of it. The owners are very nice people to work with as well. All good signs that the food must be just as good as I got a feeling that they are passionate about their business.
