Cottage Canoe Restaurant

What a great place! We were looking for a quick bite to eat off the 400 on our way home. Took a chance and stopped. So happy we did! Located behind Pioneer Gas Stn. Not your typical gas station eatery. Lots of delicious options to choose from. We had fish tacos, a Reuben, Barley soup and sweet potatoes fries! All yummy! Service quick and friendly staff.

Tried this place for the first time this am, had the early bird special. Food was served fast and hot, staff was friendly and attentive, also a good sized portion for a special.. BUT a cup of coffee was $2.49 extra onto my breakfast special,. So what was so special about the early bird special? It totals out to a reg priced breakfasts that come with coffee..that's a sneaky way to grab a few extra bucks.. include it in the "special" and re-adjust your pricing accordingly, but it was actually nice to see a place open during breakfast hrs ..not opening at 9:00 and charging extra $$ for all day breakfasts.

We found this place by accident and what a great accident it was. Clean and rustic we were seated right away. The friendly server took our order as soon as we we're ready and the food was quick. The portions were big and the food was great. Only detector would be no Blue but the rest made up for it.
If I'm ever up that way again I'll be stopping in.
