Tangle Creek

Had a very unfortunate first time at Tangle Creek due to a very aggressive and irate individual in a group behind us. So much so that he came and threatened to physically attack us and came within feet of us on the 4th tee puffing his chest and threatening to swing with fist already made. All due to us picking up his ball, which he had hit one of our guests with, because he felt we were playing too slowly when in fact all groups were back-to-back (keep in mind he had hit up on us about 4 times). After this we all feared a bit for our safety so we let this group pass. Upon cooling down and looking at it with a clear mind I’m convinced this person was probably not all ok upstairs and/or on something - as no sane, respectable, well raised human being would ever act this way. It completely ruined our day and our time at the golf course - for myself and my guests from the UK!

This is where the WONDERFUL staff from Tangle Creek jumped in and did everything they could upon learning about this to right this ship. Richard (CEO and Owner) took the time to call us personally (as he was not at the course during all of this) to ask us what happened, offer his sincere apology and offered to have us back and experience Tangle Creek the way it is supposed to be and meant to be played. This was a wonderful gesture from him and greatly appreciated. Even the members of the club who heard of what happened to us were in complete shock and were offering their apologies on behalf of the imbecile. It was very clear to me what Tangle Creek actually is and I’m glad I gave it a second chance even though I was so upset I considered never going back. From myself and my guests thank you Richard and staff for doing what you could to make our experience better. This is a wonderful club, that has a family run feel with private club amenities and a first rate staff. We will definitely be back and in our journey to finding a new club in Barrie will seriously consider this one. See you soon - we will come back!

I just want to give a shout out and many thanks to Christina Dunsmore, the wedding coordinator there. I also want to thank her team as well. She is absolutely wonderful! From beginning to end, she was helpful and responded to all of our concerns. I highly recommend her and Tangle Creek if you’re looking for an outdoor venue for a wedding.

The food prepared during reception was also lovely. The guests really enjoyed the steak! You can tell they take care of the course and the guests took wonderful outdoor shots during the wedding and reception.

Great facility, and amazing events manager in Joey Drover. Joey's oversight of the events I have attended over the past couple of years has been remarkable, and our groups never leave feeling any details were missed.

I've attended quite a few events here. Food is always fabulous. Club house is beautiful and the staff really care about the client's experience.
We recently had a family event there for 60+ including lots of seniors. We had outstanding care from Joey the Food & Beverage Manager.
