Vidya's Veggie Gourmet Restaurant

Great care taken with atmosphere, food preparation, and service in this gourmet restaurant in a small town a few kilometers from route 400 in a 19th century building. Care means time, so be prepared to wait. Had an superb miso soup, fresh and delicious corn bread, a scrumptious bowl with chickpea tempeh, a chocolate milk shake, a fresh from the oven brownie with ice cream--unbelievable--a coffee that tastes like coffee instead of mud or overcooked beans, and two cups of calming tea. Also had brunch. Also great. Don't miss this place. Yes, it's vegan, yes it's healthy, yes it's out of the way, but, trust me go there and see what a real restaurant feels like. Plus it's all organic. Classical music. Buddha would be so happy.

I’m by no means a vegetarian myself but do go for the occasional vegetarian meal. Food was amazing! Fresh and wholesome. Shakes were great, coffee was so-so, service was friendly.

Stopped here on a whim on our way to Tiny Beach. Was greeted by the friendly Vidya and ate a delicious meal. Would come again. Maybe for brunch and yoga.

I have been to Vidya's twice and each time the food was amazing! The place is warm and quaint and the service was welcoming and gracious. Just a lovely place to have a gourmet meal and relax knowing the food is organic.

It was beautiful restaurant. The food was a bit more expensive then your ordinary restaurant but that is to be expected when you are at a vegan/vegetarian organic restaurant. Better food = more money. The pasta bowl was one of the best pastas I ever had. There was a bit of a wait time because everything is made fresh so keep that in mind. The desert we had was delicious. The coconut milk ice cream was to die for. This restuarant is a perfect example of how good vegetarian and vegan food can really be!
