The Boathouse Eatery is one of the best restaurants in the area. Great food, amazing service and the place to be in the summer. The only thing keeping the people of midland and the surrounding area away is the group of people that overtake the bar on a daily basis. Loud, rude and obnoxious
Excellent large menu and everything was quite good. We shared the spinach dip with pita corners and the whole family was super impressed. It was one of the best I ever tried. We also ordered pasta (was good), garlic bread with cheese, a chicken salad that was very abundant and was shared, and some sandwiches. All well prepared, large portions and excellent sweet potato fries that are one of my favorites. Nice view and friendly service by Paul who was very patient with our large group. No one had room for dessert ????
The outside does not catch your eye this time of year. A suggestion would be to put some seasonal decorations outside / a sign by the road. I was focused on the lights and missed it so had to turn around.
There is lots of regular and handicapped parking. I could see how this would be the go to place in the summer. Big umbrellas, big deck and by the water to boot
When entering, its a different story. Music enters your soul, joined by laughter and a positive energy. Staff are in good moods. Well lit, clean and you can tell it must have good food as it was filling up fast. A place where the locals stand with a beer and the women flirt with the bartenders.
I ordered a chicken greek salad. Fresh and tasty. A suggestion would be to discontinue with your current olives and start using black ones. I was disappointed by the lack of dessert menu..only four choices. Two being cheesecake... ): Another visit to look forward too, when i am back down this way.
The Boathouse has always been a favourite. The setting, the food, the atmosphere is by far what I have come to love about visiting this restaurant. The staff are always friendly and the service is great. I am not one that likes to be creative with my food choices, but anything I have eaten here has been delicious! Enjoyed a birthday dinner here one night as well with a bunch of ladies, great spot for a large gathering and the music was enjoyable. Highly recommend you visit and make this a stop when your in the area.
