Lovely setting and meal. The jambalaya was amazing. As close to authentic that this Cajun has ever seen outside of Louisiana. Great job guys!
I love the food at Barcelos! We had their Jambalaya tonight and were impressed as always. Aside from the food the hospitality is also fantastic. It's great going to a place where you feel like people are still people.
Delicious meal, really cool to have our steak and veggie come out on a hot stone. We took our steaks off the stone early to prevent it from cooking past medium rare but the potatoes and zucchini got nice and crisp throughout the meal and everything stayed nice and hot. The owner greeted us at the door and was around socializing with all the guests which was so nice to see. We will absolutely be back to try more items off the menu!
Have been coming here for over 10 years and Nelson and his staff never disappoint!
I shared mussels and Steak on the rock last night and both were outstanding. Great outdoor venue with lots of seating and excellent atmosphere. My recommendation is to order your steak on the rock rare, as it keeps on cooking to your liking.
Came here last year for the first time. The place was so busy that there were no parking spots left. We were going to try and park across the street but chef / owner ran out and motioned for us to park right in front of the door, said he would love a purple Jeep in his lot. We had a Portuguese seafood platter - this ginormous dish filled with lobster, clams, mussels, shrimp!! The flavor was absolutely exquisite!!
Came back to Wasaga this year and it was a must on our list. Again, place was packed but we lucked out again. Had oysters as an appetizer, a seafood paella and bison steak on a hot rock plate. Flavors that make your palate dance in joy!!!
Jessica was an amazing server and chef Nelson is a fantastic chef who always makes the time to talk to his guests and make sure everyone is having a good time, despite how busy he is!!
