Overall good experience. Great service in a nicely interior designed restaurant. Food was on par, with some interesting dishes although nothing was spectacular. There was a wait but moved quickly. I would recommend if you are in the area but not a must go to brunch spot.
3 stars for poor resource and table management. While in line during Sunday morning rush, I watched one staff struggle to clean up and set the tables, sit guests, take orders, bring out food, and handle payment for almost 30 minutes before someone decided to give her a hand. Tables were clearing up faster than she could tackle, with some remaining empty for a while as the line kept growing longer.
Shame because the place looks cute and clean, the food is tasty, and service was efficient and friendly (once seated). That one waitress is a rockstar honestly.
There is a covered patio out front that would be wonderful to eat on during a nice day. The inside is a bright and open space with fruit painted on the walls. The theme carried over to the laminated placements.
The server was friendly and checked on us regularly. I had the lemon ricotta pancakes and it came in a stack of 3 large pancakes with blueberries, ricotta and maple syrup on top. Between each pancake there was a layer of ricotta. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious but too much for me. I unfortunately was unable to finish all of them. My friend had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and was very pleased with her choice.
The restaurant was quite the busy the whole time we were there and was on the noisy side. They do not take reservations so make sure to get there early.
Lemon ricotta pancakes pretty flat and not at all fluffy but filling was decent. Cornflake crusted french toast very good and not soggy - high recommend. Charcoal lemonade was quite salty and almost soapy tasting. All the items came very quickly. Maybe would have have better success if I ordered the classics rather than the trendier items. The place is quite aware of its Instagram-ability but less so about the flavours of its food
